This dress is going to be a favorite of mine. I have a tummy, so empire waists work best.
And this dress is especially nice.
It emphasizes my curves up top, and cinches in just under the bust, then flows, down, hiding spare tire or tummy.
Order larger than you normally do!
I usually wear an XL or maybe a 1x, but saw the size charts for this and ordered a 2x. It fits great.
I'm only five feet tall, so it's a little long, but not so long that I HAVE to hem it. With shoes with any heel at all it'll be fine.
A PLUS: the cups of the dress are thicker, double layer or something, so no peep show!
The ONLY thing that NEARLY made this less perfect is the fact that I had to pull the adjustable straps ALL THE WAY up. Meaning the little metal band (like on an adjustable bra) is in the front. It doesn't bother me, because it's black, like the dress, and hardly shows.
Plus, I may wear a shrug or a scarf over my shoulders with it, anyway.
It's very pretty and very lightweight. I plan to use it on vacation in Florida. I guess you could wear it to a fancy cocktail party or something, but it IS very lightweight, so you'd probably want a slip to give it a little weight and make it less sheer. It's not 'see-through' but very light, soft and flowing, and would be see-through with light behind you.

i got this dress along with 2 others from a different brand. I'm a XL/ size 16-18. I got this dress in a 2X. it was a bit too big being that I'm still loosing weight for my wedding in January. I bought this dress for my honeymoon in jamaica. It's a very nice dress to wear on the beach with a bathing suit under it. I dont like the top of this dress at all. Its just not my style. The sides of the boob area dont have any fabric, and being a larger girl, I want that fabric to help hold my girls in! Other that that, the dress is perfect.
Its a beach dress, not a formal dress! Its very soft and comfy but not meant for any big nights out

Don't buy this dress for evening wear. The t-shirt material is good for a nightgown or a beach cover up but not evening wear. I bought it for a wedding but I'm sleeping in it. My husband loves it for its sexiness but I'd never wear it out since it is so thin you can practically see through it.

I ordered this dress in hopes of wearing it to a 'dress casual' event, but i wouldn't even wear it to do the laundry. First it had a rip in the seam when it came out of the baggie it was stuffed into. Second you could see right through the fabric, which was more gauzy than it should have been. Third, the pads in the cups were just ridiculous! They covered absolutely nothing and randomly moved around. When I received the dress the length was almost a foot too long, but after washing it it was almost 6 inches too short. I've never seen such awful construction in any garment I've ordered online before.
